Small farms. the right size to be:

  • Economically and technically sustainable. (70% of farmers make their product on the farm, the liquid manure is used as natural plant fertiliser). Livestock rearing helps support sustainable farming.
  • Provide good working conditions for the farmer and a good life for the pigs. (Regional breeding farms are smaller than the national average. Small farm)
  • Guarantee a high standard of sanitation at the farm.

Pig slaughter in the Hauts de France region:

7 regional abattoirs.

48% of regional production is slaughtered locally. (Slaughter shortfall in the region)

We work with 3 abattoirs: Bigard Saint-Pol-sur-Ternoise, Nouvion-en-Thiérache in Aisne and Covameat in Belgium.

The latter exclusively sells us pork from the Groupement Mont des Flandres.

One farm sends an average of 30-40 pigs to slaughter per week.

So where does cgf charcuterie come in?

CGF CHARCUTERIE has been working with regional pigs since 1982.

80% are born, bred and slaughtered in the Hauts-de-France region (COBEVIAL/SUIDEAL, Bigard etc.).

20% are born and bred in the Hauts-de-France region and slaughtered in Belgium (Groupement Mont des Flandres, Covameat).
